Bongotones.com began last September with two goals in mind – to be the best way to get content to your mobile phone and to provide an avenue for artists who want to build awareness and have their voice heard in the mobile arena. With the announcement of the new Bongotones.com design we have hopefully taken the next step to achieving these goals. But, how exactly are we going to enhance the artist experience? Bongotones.com has established the highly-anticipated artist sign up page, allowing musicians and bands to create a personal profile page for any current and future fans. Furthermore, Bongotones.com lets artists convert their original music into ringtones in minutes, making them instantly available to fans. But that’s just the beginning. Bongotones.com gives artists a bunch of great tools to promote their content, including the ability to cross promote their own website. We are also in the process of providing artists the capacity to build awareness on upcoming events (CD releases, tour dates, etc.), convert fans on our site to Twitter followers, MySpace fans, and Facebook fans, and further market themselves via feature stories and interviews on our home page. Clearly, having a Bongotones.com profile page is a vital asset for the music industry and will soon be established as the norm. One last thing – we’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding future applications for Bongotones.com. We are proud to inform the Bongotones.com community that we are already in the process of developing additional applications to enhance the user experience. With the positive response we have received regarding our ringtone service, our R&D team has decided to start developing a wallpaper service. Details will be coming soon. P.S.
